Rules and Policies of the Imperial Realm

1. Exchange of Submissives and Slaves - The exchange of submissives and slaves from one dominant to another is handled similarly to how two individuals would conduct a business transaction. The exchange must be handled in the manner set forth below:

Privately owned submissives and slaves - In the event a Mistress of the Imperial Realm wishes to exchange a submissive or slave they privately own with another Mistress of the Imperial Realm, they may do so while ensuring the Imperial Queen is aware of the exchange to ensure the proper tags are issued. A privately owned submissive or slave may be put up for auction by their owner at the discretion of their owners. If a privately owned submissive or slave is purchased by a Mistress who is not part of the Imperial Realm, the submissive or slave may not retain the Realm Submissive tag. If the dominant who purchases a submissive or slave from the Imperial Realm's Auction program joins the Imperial Realm, the submissive or slave may request their Realm Submissive tag be restored.
3. Realm Slaves - The Imperial Queen may exchange slaves owned by the Imperial Realm with another Mistress of the Imperial Realm or a Mistress outside of the Imperial Realm at the discretion of the Imperial Queen. Realm slaves may be put up for auction at the discretion of the Imperial Queen.
4. Slaves and submissives in the safe haven program - If a slave/submissive within the haven program is desired, then approval must be given by the Imperial Queen, Imperial Madame, or both if both are present. Suppose the Imperial Madame and the Imperial Queen are unavailable. In that case, the Imperial Vice Mistress acting on behalf of the Imperial Queen and Imperial Madame may determine whether approval should be given.
5. Transfer of collars - Upon completing the transfer described above, ownership of collars and gear of a submissive or slave shall transfer from the old owner to the new owner for the transaction to be complete. This should be done in the presence of the Imperial Queen or Imperial Madames to ensure a fair and peaceful transfer of ownership.

1. Right of Ownership - The Imperial Realm recognizes and adheres to the rights of ownership. This means that no Mistress of this realm may take a slave owned by another Dom/me as their own, regardless of whether a member of this realm owns that slave. The Dom/me is required to respect the right of ownership unless the conditions contained herein are met. A Mistress in Training may not own a submissive or slave except those assigned to their care during their training and trial period.

1. Limits - All Mistresses and dominants using our BDSM areas must always respect the limits of subs. Any sub who believes their limits are not being respected has the right to and may request a moderator who is a member of the realm's staff to decide the matter. If the sub requests a moderator, they must do so local using the OOC brackets. When a sub requests this local using the (I request a moderator), the roleplay must immediately suspend until a moderator has decided. Upon meeting this requirement, the sub may send a message to a member of staff requesting they come and moderate the situation. The moderator will hear both sides and review all relevant logs and decide. In most cases, dominants and subs agree that the moderator's decision will be final unless they both disagree and appeal to the Imperial Queen.

1. Application Process - To participate in the BDSM programs and services offered by the Imperial Realm, All participants must submit the appropriate application for consideration of admission to a program or service. The process shall be as follows:

3. Application - All prospective dominants must complete and submit the appropriate application per the application's directions.
4. Interview - Upon receiving an application from a prospective dominant, the leadership of the Imperial Realm will schedule an interview with the future dominant to go over the application and discuss what is required of them as a dominant in our groups. Suppose the prospective dominant is applying for the Dominant Training Program. In that case, their application will be forwarded along with a report from the interview to the dominant responsible for the Dominant Training Program.
5. Trial - A trial session will be scheduled upon completing the interview stage if the senior leadership determines that the prospective dominant has satisfied the requirements and is potentially a good fit within the Imperial Realm. The senior leadership will provide the future dominant with the scenario of the trial session. Upon receipt of an invitation to a trial session, the prospective dominant will review the scenario information provided and plan for the scenario accordingly. The purpose of the trial session is to allow the future dominant to show their skills and creativity. The senior leadership may require at least one trial session per senior staff member conducting interviews with the prospective dominant. More than one trial session may be required where appropriate by the senior staff doing the interview process with the future dominant.
6. Recommendation - Upon completion of the interview process, the senior leadership will present a recommendation along with the application of the prospective dominant to the Imperial Queen for a final decision. The final decision will be in the hands of the Imperial Queen.
7. Final Interview and Trial - Upon receipt of a recommendation regarding a prospective dominant, the Imperial Queen may decide to extend an invitation to a final interview. If, upon completion of a last interview, the Imperial Queen determines that a final trial is warranted with her, the Imperial Queen may invite the prospective dominant to a final trial session. The Imperial Queen will provide a scenario the future dominant must prepare thoroughly. During the trial session, the prospective dominant will be required to show their dominant skills, knowledge of implements, roleplay skills, and understanding of the lifestyle.
8. Final Decision - Upon completion of a final interview process, the Imperial Queen will decide whether to invite the prospective dominant to be a dominant of the Imperial Realm. If the Imperial Queen chooses to decline the appointment, the Imperial Queen will provide a written decision to the prospective dominant outlining the reasons for the decision. The Imperial Queen may allow the future dominant a chance to improve on the issues provided to them and ask for reconsideration.
9. Reconsideration - If the Imperial Queen allows a prospective dominant to show they have implemented the recommendations or worked on the concerns the Imperial Queen has outlined, the Imperial Queen may grant a reconsideration interview and trial session. If, upon completion, the Imperial Queen decides that an invitation is appropriate, the Imperial Queen may extend an invitation to the prospective dominant to be a dominant of the Imperial Realm.
10. Trial sessions for prospective dominants in the Dominant Training Program - If the future dominant is participating in the Dominant Training Program, the trial session may only be offered by senior leaders upon the dominant in charge of the training program recommending a trial session for the prospective dominant.
11. Appointment decisions are final - All decisions regarding an appointment to be a Mistress of the Imperial Realm are in the sole discretion of the Imperial Queen and not subject to appeal.
12. Submissives - The following is the process for consideration of prospective submissives to join our programs:
13. Application - All individuals seeking to participate as a submissive in our BDSM programs must complete and submit the appropriate application as directed by that application.
14. Interview - Upon receiving an application from a prospective submissive, the leadership of the Imperial Realm will schedule an interview with the prospective submissive to go over the application and discuss what is required of them as a submissive in our groups. If the prospective submissive is applying for the Submissive Training Program, their application will be forwarded along with a report from the interview to the dominant responsible for the program.
15. Trial Session - If upon completion of the interview, the senior leadership of the Imperial Realm determines the prospective submissive may be a fit in the programs of the Imperial Realm, a trial session may be scheduled to allow the prospective submissive to show they are capable of being submissive and can handle what happens during a trial session. The purpose of the trial session will be for the prospective submissive to demonstrate their genuine willingness to submit, knowledge of the lifestyle, ability to grow and learn as a submissive, and their wanting to be a member of the Imperial Realm and a quality experience.
16. Determination - If the senior leadership of the Imperial Realm determines that a prospective submissive meets the requirements for admission into the programs and services of the Imperial Realm, the senior leadership may invite the prospective submissive into the groups and assign them to the appropriate dominant in the group that is best able to handle the needs of the submissive. The Imperial Queen does not need to approve an application of a prospective submissive.
17. Reconsideration - If the senior leadership determines that a prospective submissive does not meet the requirements at the time of their application and interview process, the senior leadership must provide a decision to the submissive in writing to the prospective submissive explaining their reasons for denying the application. The senior leadership may allow the prospective submissive to ask for reconsideration after 30 days if they believe they can meet the requirements and have fixed the concerns provided to them in the written decision. If, upon a request to reconsider, the senior eadership determines that the prospective submissive has met the requirements, they may invite the prospective submissive to join the Imperial Realm. If, after reconsideration, the senior leadership determines the prospective submissive still needs to meet the requirements, they must provide the reasons for the denial to the prospective submissive in writing. If a denial has been issued, but the prospective submissive is making progress, the prospective submissive may ask for another reconsideration. If the prospective submissive disagrees with the senior leadership's decision, they may appeal to the Imperial Queen.
18. Trial Waiver - If the prospective submissive is applying for the Submissive Training Program, the senior leadership will forward a copy of the application and their determination to the dominant in charge of the Submissive Training Program, and the trial session will be placed on hold until they meet that requirement as part of successful completion of the Submissive Training Program.

Appeals of decisions - If an individual disagrees with the decision of program staff or moderators, they may appeal the decision to the senior leadership or the Imperial Magistrate following the rules relating to appeals set out in the Imperial Realm Rules - Appeals Process card. All appeals must be limited to whether the rules of the Imperial Realm were applied correctly in making the decision.

Removal from programs - Any individual may be removed from the BDSM-related programs for being consistently disruptive after being asked to stop, violating the rules of the Imperial Realm, or otherwise determined not to be a proper fit for that program. Any individual who has been removed from the BDSM-related programs may reapply for the program within 30 days unless the Imperial Queen or Imperial Madame has banned them due to their infraction. Individuals removed from the training programs may only reapply for the training programs during the next session of that program. For example, if an individual is removed from one of the training programs during the winter session, they may only apply once the applications are accepted for the spring session.
